Guitarist.Abhay Nayampally
      Guitar N.Abhay is disciple of world renowed Mandolin player Padmashri mandolin U.Srinivas who is a Carnatic Classical artist with a slight difference.As yet not an oft used instrument.In this form of music,the electric guitar.N.Abhay has adopted it for the purposes of the Carnatic Classical & its various demands without any modifications to the instrument or its tuning.Nurtured in Classical music both Indian and Western from the age of 6 and having explored vast genres of music in both the fields,he zeroed in on his primary love,Carnatic Classical is his primary love.Carnatic classical music on his favourite instrument,"The Guitar".Though initially a daounting task to get the intricacies and microtonal inflections of a music as demanding as Carnatic Classical form an instrument essentially Western in nature,N.Abhay has managed to develop a style unique in its nature 7 in keeping with the purity of the music in question.Intially developing the techniques & "Gamakas" of Carnatic music on his own on the guitar,he was blessed to find his Guru in Padmashri U.Srinivas who now continues to groom him.

A multi-talented vocalist Ruchira Kedar has been in the field of music since 1993,winning several awards and accolades over the years along with the hearty applause of connoisseurs & music lovers alike in India & abroad,Ruchira stands strongly committed to her purpose in life-music.
        She started training herself in Hindustani Classical Music at the tender age of 12.Training initailly under her father Sh.Dilip Kale,further she learnt the intricacies Hindustani Classical & Semi-Classical vocal music from the renowned vocalist of Jaipur Gharana,Dr.Alka Deo Marulkar.Thereafter Ruchira became associated as a residential scholar with the prestigious ITC Sangeet Research Academy,Kolkatta & received invaluable "Taleem" from the celebrated Gwalior-Jaipur Gharana Vocalist Pt.Ulhas Kashalkar,she also received significant guidance in Thumri from the doyen of Banaras Gharana,Vidushi.Girija Devi.
              She has won many awards such as Ganvardhan Sanstha Award(Pune),Dewal Club Award(Kolhapur),Ruchira was awarded with The Central Government's Scholarship for young talent s in 2000.She is now 'A' Grade Artist of "All India Radio" and "Doordarshan".Ruchira has been recently awarded with "Surmani" Award by the "Sur Singar Samsad" in Mumbai.



Tabla & Sitar Maestro.Pt.Nayan Ghosh       

Born in 1956 Pandit.Nayan Ghosh is acclaimed in India and around the world as one of the India's  foremost musician with an unusual dimension the only Maestro with superlative command over the two diverted instruments The Sitar and The Tabla.Son and disciple of 20th Century Tabla Wizard Nikhil Ghosh and nephew of Pannalal Ghosh,"The father of the Indian Classical Flute".Nayan has inherited the rich and learned legacy from his five or six predecessors and carries it with a rare dignity and grace.Artistic brilliance,rich repertoire and a magnificence of tone are his hallmarks.Deeply loved by the senior most Stalwarts of the music scene like Ravi Shankar,Yahudi Menuhin,Vilayat Khan the legendary Ahmedjan Thirakwa and many others.Besides enjoying an unusually high level of respect from his contemporaries and younger musicians,he is already held as an important reference source for a whole new generation of music seekers.

Tabls Maestro.Fazal Qureshi.

Hailing from a background that reverberates with the taal of the tabla, music  has been Fazal Qureshi's natural inheritance.Under the guidance of his Guru and father the late great tabla maestro, Ustad Alla Rakha, and with the inspiration drawn from his brother, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Fazal has developed a unique style that is distinguished for its fine sense of rhythm, versatility and eloquence.


He performs both as a soloist and as an accompanist. His deep rooted knowledge and dedication to Indian classical music helps him accompany North as well as South Indian instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers. The musicians he has performed with include Ustad Alla Rakha, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Sultan Khan, Dr. L. Subramaniam, L. Shankar, Vikku Vinayakram, U. Srinivas, Ustad Shahid Parvez, and Sitara Devi.

Fazal has expanded his horizons by being involved with other styles of music of the world especially Jazz and Western classical music, and has performed with many well known Jazz musicians. For the last 16 years he has been associated with Mynta, his world music band based in Sweden. They have performed all over the world and have released six immensely popular albums.

Besides being a performer he has also composed music for Mynta and for various other events. He has now started composing music for Indian films and is currently working on an album of his own compositions, thus adding to his versatility as a musician.



Flute Maestro.Rupak Kulkarni.



With music blown into his breath by father Late Pt. Malhar Kulkarni, he blossomed under the finest tutelage of flute maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia to become an outstanding exponent of "Maihar Gharana".

With arduous training and hard work, has mastered "Dhrupad, Khayal and Tantrakari ang" (style). His recital is always a rare treat combining Dh
rupad and Khayal gayaki, melodious alap and scintillating "Tatkar" (tounging technique used for Jhala) innovative improvisation with mesmerising "Layakari", superb breath control and dexterous finger work
.

Vocalist.Apoorva Gokhale.
Born in the family that is adorned with the rich heritage of Sur, Laya, Taal over five generations, Apoorva Gokhale inherits melody, harmony and rhythm from her grandfather Late Pandit Gajananbuwa Joshi and the great-grandfather Late Pandit Antubuwa Joshi, who himself was an eminent Darbar Gayak.

Her formal education started at an early age of 5 years under the tutelage of her grandfather Late Pandit Gajananrao Joshi, who was a vocalist and violinist, reputed for his versatility and making a superb blend of three gharanas viz. Gwalior, Jaipur and Agra in his gayaki.

Later, she continued her further training under the supervision of her uncle Pandit Madhukar Joshi, who too is a well-known vocalist and violinist and also from Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar. At the same time, she also received training from her father Shri Manohar Joshi and her aunt Dr. Sucheta Bidkar. While taking lessons from these gurus, she perfected her basics in Sur, Laya, Taal.

She is also seeking guidance from Pandit Shankar Abhyankar, the eminent sitarist and rachnakar and also from Smt. Manik Bhide, Smt. Ashwini Bhide and Shri Yeshwant Mahale.

She has been awarded with the Acharya S. N. Ratanjankar Foundation Trust‘s scholarship and Pandit K. G. Ginde Puraskar for two years.

Apoorva has also been honoured with “ Surmani” title by “ Sur Singar Sansad”.
and the “Vidyasagar Award” from Music Forum.

She is an approved artist of AIR and has a cassette and CD released by Legendary Legacy. Apoorva is a Commerce graduate and has also completed her Post graduation in Music.

A recipient of prestigious Jr. Fellowship in the field of Hindustani ( Vocal ) classical music by Ministry of culture, Apoorva undoubtedly has a bright future.

She has delivered performances in many prestigious concerts in Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Bangalore, Aundh, Karad, Ichalkaranji etc.





Violin Maestro.Kala Ramnath
Violin Maestro.Kala Ramnath the contemporary torch bearer of Mewati Gharana stands today amongst the most outstanding instrumental musicians in the North Indian classical genre.Born into a family of prodigious musical talent,which has given Indian music such Violin legends as proof.Prof.T.N.Krishnan and Dr.N.Rajam,Kala's genius with the violin manifested itself  from childhood.Kala began playing the violin at the tender age of 3,under the strict tutelage of her grandfather Vidwan.Narayan Iyer,simultaneously she received training from her aunt,Dr.Smt.N.Rajam for fifteen years she put herself.under the training of Mewati vocal maestro Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj.This has brought a rare vocal emotionalism to her art.her violin playing is characterized by an immaculate bowing and playing technique brought about by the dexterous use of her fingers,command over all aspects of rhythm,richness and clarity in pitch and tone.she has completely revolutionized the technique of playing the violing by taking this instrument so close to vocal music that today her violin is called as"The singing violin".
           Kala has performed at all major music festivals in India,prominent among them being Shankarlal Festival Delhi,Tansen Samaroh-Gwalior,Saptak-Ahmedabad,Pt.Motiram and Pt.Maniram conference -Hyderabad,Spirit of unity concerts-Delhi,Swami Haridas sangeet Sammelan-Mathura and so on.In 1984, she won the President's award in the prestigious AIR music competitions.In 1988,she became the first ever Hindustani musician and violinist to record for CBS Indian Ltd.Besides being a charismatic musician,Kala has also an outstanding academic record.She is also a top grade artist in Radio and Television.she has also won many awards Rashtriya Kumar Gandharva sanman,Pandit.Jasraj Gaurav Puraskar,Sur Ratna,Surmani to name a few.Kala has won the acclaim of discussing audiences and critics world-wide.
        Not only Kala is a great performer but she is also a great teacher.Kala has also been experimenting with several types of genere of music-both within the tradition of Indian classical music and crossovers other types of music.Besides all these,she has many CDs to her credit.The prestigious songlines magazine reveiwing world music voted the sense world album called "Kala and Samvad"top of the world in its charts for the years 2004,Yashila for 2006 and Samaya for 2008.
      Songlines also selected her as one of the fifty best instrumentalists of the world.Kala became the first Indian Violinist in 2006 to be the subject of a major feature in "The strad"the periodical viewed as as "Violin Bible".Th encyclopedia Rough guide to World Music in its third edition,which was released on 21st December 2009,has a solo essay on her for her in the contributions in the field of Indian music.

                  Vocalist.Sanjeev Chimmalgi.


Sanjeev Chimmalgi is one of the most prominent and promising Hindustani classical singers of new generation.He has been singing professionally since from early twenties and has performed all over India as well as US,the UK and Spain.Sanjeev's concerts are known for fluidity and grace-his forte being a highly sophisticated treatment of the Raga and delicacy of his approach to both "Swar" and "Bol".His presentation speaks volumes of cherished values of Indian classical music tradition.viz.simplicity,lucidity and refinement.Sanjeev Chimmalgi's singing style showcases on the uncanny ability where he is able to weave the various important aspects of Kirana,Gwalior and Agra Gharanas.He has also been avid explorer of popular form such as Bhajan,Sugam sangeet,film-song and Contemporary Fusion.
   Sanjeev was born on July 29 1972 into a music lover family.His grandfather,Chimmalgi Master was a great Tabla artist and celebrated "rasika"(an important category in the musical firmament)of Dharwad,Karnataka.Sanjeev's father M.V.Chimmalgi was also a great rasika and a pioneer in promoting classical music in Navi Mumbai(New Bombay).His untiring efforts in this direction left on indelible impression a Sanjeev,Sparkling in him a deep love and devotion for classical music.
           Sanjeev showed exceptional talent for singing while in school.His parents sent him to Smt.Krishna Lahiri & Shri.Prabhakar Gune for elementary lessons in Indian Classical music at the age of 12.
         In 1986,at the age of 14 he started learning under "Kirana gharana vocalist"Vocalist Pandit Madhav Gudi(disciple of legendary Pandit Bhimsen Joshi)of Dharwad.He spenr 4years imbibing the basics of kirana gayaki.During this time he also persuaded a diploma in instrumentation engineering.
         In 1991,Sanjeev became a "Ganda-Bandh" & disciple of the master vocalist & doyen among teachers.Padmabhushan Pandit C.R.Vyas accepted Sanjeev as his shishya in the August presence of luminaries like Pandit Jasraj,Pandit SCR.Bhat & Pandit J.V.Bhatkhande.On this day Sanjeev also gave his first public performance,this was the day Sanjeev decided to take up music as his full time vocation under the able guidance of his guru Sanjeev learnt nuances of Raga-Shastra(principles of Raga)developments and techniques.Not wasting a single opportunity of being with his mentor he travelled all over India with Vyas ji giving him vocal support and in the process getting hands on training in stage performance.
        Sanjeev has,ever since,continued performing across the country & abroad,receiving a number awards and honours and building forays into film music,theatre and contemporary Fusion.
        He is learning Carnatic music from Smt.T.R.Balamani followed by flautist vocalist Shri.S.Balachander.currently he is teaching Hindustani classical music under Guru-shishya parampara at Navi Mumbai(New Bombay).

  •      A two-year Government of India National Scholarship for Young Achievers in the field of Indian music. This was extended to three years based on excellent progress.
  •     AIR Music competition 1993 - Winner of this all India youth under-23 competition conducted by All India Radio and as a result became a graded artiste of AIR.
              


        Santoor Maestro.Pandit Satish Vyas.


Renowned Santoor Maestro Pandit Satish Vyas , blessed with a formidable musical background and training, thanks to both his father and his guru, continues to build an outstanding reputation as a soloist on the Santoor (hammered dulcimer). His first fortune was to be born the son of Padma Bhushan (Late) Pandit C. R. Vyas , one of the most respected vocalists on the Indian music scene, a fine and highly knowledgeable performer who was the young Satish's first teacher. His second fortune was to be accepted as a disciple by the great legend Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma - a man so identified with his instrument that classical Indian Santoor playing is unthinkable without Shiv Kumar Sharma's contribution to the art.
Before taking the decision to make music his profession, Satish Vyas had completed his education with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in science & MBA, and even begun to establish a career in the business world. This background is no doubt of use to him in his work as a major and one of the most successful organisers of classical music festivals in India, and indeed as Artistic Director of Navras Records in India.
Born on 16th November 1952, Satish started learning vocal music from his father at the age of 14 as a result of listening to a Santoor recital. Although his initial grounding took place in the idiom of his father's lingo as it were, it was to Santoor that young Satish's heart was set. At the request of his father, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma took Satish on as his disciple.
Pandit Satish Vyas has been a regular concert artist for the last more than 25 years or so, performing and recording all over the world, more extensively in the USA, UK & Europe, Japan and Australasia. In 1997, he was the only non-Western instrumentalist invited to perform in Venice, Italy at the "Mostra Mozart Festival",organised by the prestigious European Mozart Foundation. Vyas had also manifested his versatility by performing as a "guest musician" with the Jazz / World Music Fusion Group, "Silk" accompanying the renowned vocalist Shankar Mahadevan, the Percussion maestro Sivamani, well known Composer /Pianist / Keyboard artiste Louis Banks and Karl Peters (Bass Guitar) at a Barbican Centre concert in London few years back.  He also had the privilege of performing at the world famous EDINBURGH Festival in Scotland.
Pandit Satish Vyas has a number of recordings to his credit with labels such as UK-based Navras Records, Music Today, Times Music, BMG Crescendo and Sony Music.
The Government Of India has honoured Pandit Satish Vyas with the most prestigious civilian award Padma Shri in 2003.
Recently in October 2010 he was bestowed upon with KUMAR GANDHARVA RASHTRIYA SAMMAN by Kumar Gandharva Foundation.

   Born in family of music lovers Manish was introduced to music by his mother.Later on he was groomed under the able guidance of Late.Shri.V.R.Waliwadekar of Indore.He then continued his training under the tutelage of Ustad.Shahid Parvez, the famous Sitar Maestro from Itawa Gharana.
   Manish is an approved artist of A.I.R & T.V and has an sangeet visharad degree from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya to his credit.
He has been awarded the title"Surmani"by Sur Shringar samsad Mumbai.He has won 1st prize in Yuva Sangeet & Nritya Mahotsava organized by the SCZCC Nagpur in 1992.Manish has recorded for an music album in"IN THE HOUSE OF MIRRORS"with the French Music composer Hector Zazon.Manish has travelled various cities of Spain & France(Euroupe)for his solo,duets & fusion concerts.Manish has performed an opening solo concert in Clandestine festival 2010 held in Gothenburg,Sweden & did Indian Music workshops in various cities of Sweden.He has also performed at The festival of India,Organised by ICCR,held in different cities of China in September 2010.Manis has been Part of Daksha Sheth Dance Company & played concerts with the company in India &  abroad.

 Pandit Yogesh Samsi is one of those rare Tabla players whose reputation has been built on his consummate artistry,in both fields of accompaniment & solo playing.The son of the renowed Vocalist Pandit.Dinkar Kaikini.Yogesh Samsi was intiated into tabla by his father at the tender age of four & later received guidance under Pandit.H. Taranth Rao.However,it was under the gifted tutelage of the legendary Ustad Alla Rakha that Yogesh received intense training for twenty three years and matured into a fine young Tabla player.
      Yogesh has accompanied almost all the top ranking instrumentalists & vocalists & dancers of India,including Ustad Vilayat Khan,Pt.Dinkar Kaikini,Pt.Bhimsen Joshi,Pt.Shivkumar Sharma,Pt.Hariprasad Chaurasia,Ustad.Amjad Ali Khan & Pt.Birju Maharaj.Apart from accompaniment Yogesh has performed humerous memorable solo performances in India & abroad.He has also had the privilege of accompanying his teacher Ustad Alla Rakha & his son the great maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain in solo performances.

Aditya has inherited a unique blend of Jaipur and Gwalior Gharana to his Gayaki through his Guru parampara.Due to the exposure of traditional form of music from all his Gurus,Aditya retains the pure form of ragas and their renderings in his performances.His facet of his gayaki is well appreciated by by the knowledgeable audience.
     Through his accompaniment to Talyogi Pt.Suresh Talwalkar's solo performances the rhythm or the Taal side of the gayaki is developed immensely.The layakaris,taans and his consummate ease with tabla in his performances has a big mass appeal.
      The foundation of classical musical being so strong,Aditya handles light classical form with equal ease.Through his mother he is exposed to the Banaras style of Thumri from late Pandit.Rajabhau Kogje.His Natya sangeet performance have also won him many awards and acclaims. 



Sitarist.Ravindra Chari

Great Sitarist Ravindra Chary.


Born in a family rich in musical tradition, Ravindra's musical instincts asserted early. His father Late Pt. Prabhakar Chari, a noted tabla player from Goa initiated his musical training in Harmonium, Tabla and Sitar. 

He continued to nurture his child's potential and zeal for sitar placing him under the tutelage of Ustad Abdul Karim Khan. 

He learnt Harmonium from Pt. Tulshidas Borkar.

Later Ravi moved to Mumbai where he studied under great sitar maestros like Pt. Pushparaj Koshti, Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan and Ustad Shahid Parvez,which continues till today 

Highly acclaimed by critics and connoisseurs alike for his excellent command over laya and layakari, his sitar recitals are crowned by an exposition that is melodious and rich at times even complex. He has performed with great Indian musicians including Ustad Allah Rakha, Kishori Amonkar, Mrudangam wizard Umalayapuram Shivaraman, Ustad Sultan khan, Pt. Suresh Talwalkar,Trilok Gurtu,Louiz Banks, Sivamani, Ranjit Barot, Fazal Quereshi, Shama Bhate, Amit Heri, Merlin D'Souza,Taufiq Quereshi etc. on various projects. At present teaching at Sharda Sangeet Vidhyalaya, Bandra-Mumbai.
Recipient of fellowship from HRD, Government of India and prestigious Surmani award, Ravindra's recitals have been broadcast on radio and television. He was also a lecturer in Music at Mumbai University.

He has acquired the rare combination of mastering Harmonium and Sitar. His students have won many prizes due to his unique style of playing and teaching.
